We are a woman-owned small business with 5 selling seasons under our belt. Gingerbread baking kits are all we do. It is how we influence the world with our gift for food.
Each year we've positioned the company for positive growth - from gift bundles to kitchen linens (that pair well with our kits!) to even offering an awesome gingerbread house kit. We survived and thrived during the pandemic and weathered price gouging and shortages this past year. We are fortunate to be popular as a corporate employee gift with a loyal following.
However, each year we struggle
to re-introduce ourselves
to the general market
as we only sell
for 6 weeks
during the holiday season.
The long-term business goal for Ginger's Breadboys is to be remembered as the go-to for gingerbread kits when thinking about making gingerbread treats during the holidays. We're here to stay. We're not simply a flash-in-the-pan novel offering each year.
We've been able to reach the number one spot on Google with "diy gingerbread cookie kit" but we struggle each year with intense competition from the larger corporations and big box stores to stay on page one for simply "gingerbread cookie kit."
So, in short, we need to do a better job with our limited resources of letting folks know we exist. And then do it all over again each and every year, all year.
