Ginger’s Breadboys Debuts at Specialty Food Live 2021

Ginger’s Breadboys is participating in their first ever trade show, exhibiting virtually at Specialty Food Live! 2021.

Ginger’s Breadboys LLC formed in February 2018 and just completed its third holiday selling season. Born out of a desire to provide family and friends with more gingerbread cookies for the holidays, the woman-owned company makes gingerbread cookie kits. Each kit makes just over 3 dozen 5-inch gingerbread boy cookies.

The company chose a nostalgic, vintage look for its branding to replicate the image of the cookie that its owner has been making for decades. Affixing this branding to a sustainable packaging tin completes the look and feel. Customers get everything they need in the curated kit plus a storage container for the cookies . . . and, when the last cookie has been eaten, for the baking supplies that come with the kit!

With these cookie kits, many years of testing and proofing have transformed the daunting task of making gingerbread cookies into a simple, easy activity that requires only a few wet ingredients. Ginger’s Breadboys knows that baking is following instructions and lays it all out simply and methodically in their recipe card. All a customer need add is love and fun.

With a focus on product development, Ginger’s Breadboys created gift box kits in 2020 to include linens from its growing Kitchen Collection of tea towels, aprons and face masks. 2021 will see the addition of potholders. When the last bit of flour has been swept away and the oven has cooled, retain a bit of the magic in the kitchen.

For 2020 a smaller, basic kit was created and tested to an overwhelming response. It is being offered along with the complete collection for distribution through all retail outlets.

Ginger’s Breadboys is also currently test-baking their recipe with a gluten-free flour mix for the 2021 holiday season. The current recipe can be made with butter for an all-natural cookie and with an egg-substitute for a vegan cookie.
